Man supplying food to bandits nabbed in Ekiti


A suspected bandits’ informant and agent, Musa Abdulai, has been arrested in Ekiti state.

The suspect, who was arrested last Monday, is said to specialise in supplying food items to bandits at their hideouts.

35-year-old Musa Abdulai, an indigene of Sokoto State residing at Shasha in Akure, Ondo State, was apprehended by Amotekun in Ise Ekiti at about 6:30 pm.

The Head of the Communications Department of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Officer Adeleye Abiodun, made this known in a statement on Saturday.

According to Adeleye, the suspect was apprehended by the Amotekun Operatives of lse-Ekiti Local Government Command at Oritan Forest Reserve located at Ise/Orun during a patrol.

Adeleye disclosed that he confessed that he had been supplying food items to people suspected to be Fulani/Bororo bandits hiding in the area.

Exhibits recovered from him at the scene of his arrest inside the forest included a sack bag containing food items.

He has since been handed over to the Divisional Police Station in Ise Ekiti for further investigations
