The presidency has opened up and given reasons for president Bola Tinubu’s trip to France after spending days in the United Kingdom.
Tinubu is currently on a two-week leave and on Friday he departed the UK for France.
His France trip has elicited criticism with many questioning Tinubu’s absence from Nigeria and why he can’t observe his leave in the country.
In his reaction, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said his principal can observe his leave anywhere.
In a post on X, Onanuga insisted that Tinubu is not restricted to the UK and can go anywhere he wants.
Onanuga wrote: “President Tinubu is on leave for two weeks. He is not restricted to the UK.
“It is his private time. He can go anywhere he so desires.
“He is still observing his leave.”
