The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has expressed condolences to the victims of the recent flood disaster that affected Maiduguri and Jere local government areas in Borno State.
During a visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Alhaji M. Abubakar, representing FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji, she acknowledged the severe impact the flood had on the lives and property of the affected residents, leaving many in distress.
Alhaji Abubakar emphasized FIRS’ commitment to supporting Borno State University by providing infrastructure through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
He assured the governor that FIRS would soon provide a status report on the ongoing projects at the university.
Abubakar also commended the state government’s efforts and the swift response of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other agencies to the disaster.
