Fareedat Abdulwaheeb’s brilliant lob caught the goalkeeper off guard in the 28th minute to make it 3-0 in the first half.
Taiwo Afolabi netted the fourth goal 10 minutes into the second half.
However, New Zealand pulled a goal back through Hannah Saxon on the hour mark.
The Flamingos will take on Ecuador in their next game on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Flamingos captain, Taiwo Afolabi scooped the Player of the Match prize.
