- Chroma cited the inclusive system of governance of Senator Uba Sani and the infrastructural development in Southern Kaduna as reason for joining APC in moving the state forward.
Labour Party chairman in Kaduna State, Isah Chiroma, has resigned his membership of the party.
Chiroma quit the party to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection from Labour Party to the APC came couple of days to the state local government election scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Speaking during the flag-off of the campaign and presentations of flags to councillorship candidates, Chroma cited the inclusive system of governance of Senator Uba Sani and the infrastructural development in Southern Kaduna as reason for joining APC in moving the state forward.
Similarly, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kafachan Ward B Jema’a LGA councillorship candidate, Abdullahi Imrah, also defected the APC.
Imrah said though it is a few days to elections, he decided to pull out of PDP and join Peter Tanko in APC so they can work together and move the country forward.
Welcoming the defectors, the deputy governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, congratulated them for making a wise choice by joining the winning team. She assured them that they would be carried along.
Speaking on the forthcoming election, she said from the turnout of the supporters, it is obvious that APC is on track to victory, even as she advised APC members to conduct themselves properly in the election.
Speaking to the media, the APC chairmanship candidate for Ja’mma Local Government Council, Peter Tanko Dogara, assured the people of Jemaa that they are going to experience the dividends of democracy through good governance and transparency.
“I have a lot of things for the community. The issues of security, health, investment, and empowerment are paramount to the community, and these are things that we are looking for,” he said
