Bundesliga: Bayer Leverkusen finally speak on Boniface auto crash, reveal extent of injury

Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have  broken their silence on Victor Boniface involvement in a ghastly car crash on Sunday.

The auto crash occurred while the Forward was on his way to the airport to pick up his friends.

Boniface’s Mercedes Benz reportedly collided with an oncoming truck.

Speaking to popular German news outlet Bild after the accident, his club Leverkusen disclosed that Boniface did not suffer a major injury in the mishap.

“He is fine. Boniface only had two minor injuries to his hand.”

The 23-year-old was on target in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last Saturday.

He scored the winning goal 18 minutes from time after earlier missing a penalty.
