- The 2024 CAF Awards will hold in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has released a 10-man shortlist for the 2024 Player of the Year.
The list was published on CAF’s social media pages on Thursday.
The nominees include Nigeria’s duo of Ademola Lookman and William Troost-Ekong.
Others on the list are Achraf Hakimi (Morocco, PSG), Simon Adingra (Cote d’Ivoire, Brighton), Ronwen Williams (South Africa Orlando Pirates).

Meanwhile, Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali was nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Nwabali will battle nine other top goalkeepers for the award.
The Chippa United shot stopper had an impressive outing for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations earlier in the year.
The 28-year-old is currently one of the highly rated goalkeepers in the South African League.
The 2024 CAF Awards will hold in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16.
