Bola Tinubu's appointment of Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Igbo in Diaspora United Congress, a regional socio-cultural group, applauded President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Chukwuemeka Obielom, the group’s convener, said in a statement that the widow of late Igbo icon Emeka Ojukwu is a true Igbo daughter.

He stated, “I must commend President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu to his cabinet.

The appointment honours the late Ikemba of Nnewi, who was not only a true Igbo man but also a shining light in Nigeria, Africa, and around the world.

We have continuously praised Mr President for his several appointments of Igbos in strategic positions in his government and we are working with many Igbo groups around the world to reciprocate the gestures extended to the region by Mr President.

To this end, we are mobilizing major Southeast blocs to support Mr President’s renewed agenda. We are also working round the clock to build a national peace movement which will be launch in December across the country.”

Similarly, the International coordinator of Southern Youth Forum Inc, Uche Idechukuka expressed the group’s readiness to work with Tinubu’s administration especially for the overall interest of all the people.

Reacting to the appointment of Ojukwu, he said it is an honour bestowed on the entire Igbo race while also applauding President Tinubu for demonstrating that he truly love and appreciate Ndigbos.
