- He said testimonies of financial breakthrough should be anchored on productivity, diligence, industry and hardwork and not prayer-induced indolence
Anyone who goes to church to give testimonies that they got “miraculous” credit alerts after praying should be arrested, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has said.
The practice of individuals testifying to “miraculously” receiving credit alerts after praying is very prevalent in Nigerian churches.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Obi stated that anyone one who claimed to have miraculously received a substantial amount in their bank accounts without any work to back up such claim is a thief.
He said testimonies of financial breakthrough should be anchored on productivity, diligence, industry and hardwork and not prayer-induced indolence.
“God can bless handiwork, productivity and industry. But he cannot bless someone who is sleeping. Anybody who says he got alert from praying should be arrested. You have stolen somebody’s money,” he said.
