- Mokwa reassured that the IPPIS prioritizes the well-being of workers and will not issue directives that could mislead or cause unnecessary anxiety
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has confirmed that no directive has been issued for workers to change their salary accounts registered on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) platform.
In a statement released on Monday and signed by Director of Press and Public Relations Bawa Mokwa, the OAGF emphasized that any decision to change a salary account is a personal choice for the workers and not mandated by the IPPIS Office.
Mokwa reassured that the IPPIS prioritizes the well-being of workers and will not issue directives that could mislead or cause unnecessary anxiety. “Whenever there is an application for a change of salary account, it is always a personal decision of the worker concerned,” he stated.
The OAGF also called on financial institutions to enhance customer confidence and ensure they meet their obligations to employees. It urged agencies responsible for assessing the health of financial institutions to remain committed to their roles. Workers with legitimate reasons for changing their salary accounts were advised to adhere to the official procedures outlined by the OAGF.
