Three gubernatorial candidates in Ondo State have withdrawn from the upcoming election to endorse incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Candidates from the Accord Party (AP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), and African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced their decision just one day before the polls, aligning their support behind Aiyedatiwa.
The endorsement was made during an event organized by the APC National Campaign Council, where Ajibola Falaye of the Accord Party spoke on behalf of the three parties.
Falaye praised Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to the state, citing his achievements and dedication to development.
In response, Aiyedatiwa encouraged his supporters to increase voter mobilization efforts, emphasizing, “Let’s keep up the work in our communities and ensure full participation on election day.” He also stressed the importance of using permanent voter cards to cast votes, aiming for maximum voter turnout.
