The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, has called on Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to adopt an all-inclusive approach to governance.
He said this would ensure the well-being of all citizens in the state.
In a statement released on Monday by the Secretary of the Benin Traditional Council (BTC), Mr. Frank Irabor, the monarch expressed confidence in Governor Okpebholo’s ability to use his extensive experience as a businessman and politician to fulfill his mandate.
The Oba offered prayers to God Almighty and the Royal Ancestors, asking for guidance and strength for the governor to steer Edo State to greater heights.
The statement read, “His Royal Majesty does not doubt that His Excellency’s vast wealth of experience as a businessman and politician will enable him to excel in this position and fulfill his mandate to Edo people, both at home and in the diaspora.
“His Royal Majesty urges His Excellency to operate a government that is all-inclusive to enhance the welfare of all and sundry in the state.”
The monarch’s message underscores the importance of unity and cooperation in governance to foster development and prosperity for the people of Edo State.
