The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike, has given the go-ahead for the payment of N70,000 as the new minimum wage for FCT Administration staff.
This development was made public by the Acting Head of the Civil Service of FCT, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, through a statement issued by her Press Secretary, Ewhenji Anthony Odey, on Tuesday in Abuja.
The Minister has also approved the payment of three months’ arrears for all staff of the Administration, effective November 2024.
According to the statement, this move demonstrates the Minister’s commitment to the welfare of the staff.
The Head of Service noted, “this gesture will further spur the entire staff of the Administration to support the Minister to continue to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
Mrs. Adayilo also expressed gratitude to the Minister for his prompt approval of staff allowances and claims, as stated in the release.
