Former APC National Auditor, Paul Chukwuma, Announces 2025 Governorship Bid for Anambra

He outlined his plans to address insecurity, infrastructural deficits, unemployment, and other pressing socio-economic challenges facing the state

Paul Chukwuma, a chieftain and former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared his intention to run for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State under the APC platform.

Speaking at a media event in his hometown of Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, on Saturday, Chukwuma outlined his plans to address insecurity, infrastructural deficits, unemployment, and other pressing socio-economic challenges facing the state.

Chukwuma, also the Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University, Burundi, expressed his commitment to applying his expertise in business and economics to ensure efficient management of Anambra’s resources for the benefit of the people.

He emphasised the need for Anambra to align with the APC-led Federal Government to facilitate development in critical sectors like roads, railways, gas pipelines, and ports, laying the groundwork for the state’s progress.

“Security and massive infrastructure development will be my top priorities as governor. No state can thrive without security, and no investor will risk investing where safety is not guaranteed,” Chukwuma said. He condemned the current security situation in Anambra, calling for urgent action to restore safety and attract investment.

Pledging to run an inclusive government, Chukwuma promised to prioritise education, be accessible to citizens, and ensure the delivery of democratic benefits to all Anambra residents.

He criticised the current administration under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), accusing it of failing to collaborate with the Federal Government, resulting in underdevelopment and a breakdown in security. “We need to redeem Anambra fast because the current administration has failed the people,” he said.
