The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting tech startups and entrepreneurs.
State Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Mrs. Damilola Yusuf-Adelodun, made the statement on Saturday during the 7th Kwarabuild Tech Conference in Ilorin. The event, which ran for three days, provided a platform for startups to network and grow.
Yusuf-Adelodun highlighted the government’s significant investments in youth development and technology, stressing its ongoing collaboration with tech experts to address funding, policy, and innovation challenges.
The Managing Director of the Ilorin Innovation Hub, Temi Kolawole, praised the event as the largest youth-focused tech gathering in Kwara.
Panel discussions featured experts such as Engineer Taofik Abdulkareem of Plat Technology Limited and Olushola Gegele of Premium Blue Economy Innovation and Investment Limited. They explored opportunities in technology, agriculture, and commerce.
Kwarabuild Co-Founder, Ibraheem Zulkifli, shared that approximately 1,500 youths attended pre-conference workshops aimed at fostering technological self-reliance. He called for more collaboration to provide resources for youth empowerment and tackle unemployment.
