The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 10 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Lagos State.
According to the EFCC, the arrests were carried out on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Adewale Estate and Sea Side Estate in the Badore area of Lagos, following credible intelligence about the activities of an Organised Cybercrime Syndicate Network (OCSN).
In a statement released on Monday, Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, disclosed that items recovered from the suspects included exotic cars, mobile devices, and phones.
“The suspects have all volunteered their statements,” Oyewale said, adding that they would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
The EFCC reiterated its commitment to clamping down on cybercrime and other financial crimes across the country.
