Terrorists storm Sokoto community, kill nine, abduct scores

At least nine persons were reportedly killed when a clutch of terrorists wreaking havoc across the northern region attacked residents of Sokoto State.

Scores were also abducted during the attack on Dan Tudu, a community in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of the State.

The heavily armed terrorists also injured one person and looted valuables in the community.

Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counterterrorism and insurgency expert, disclosed the development on Monday in a post on his X handle.

Makama disclosed that intelligence sources identified the perpetrators as members of the notorious gangs led by Saidu Zango, Bello Turji, and Jammo Baki, who are known to operate in the Gangara axis
