- The Home Office has not yet confirmed the deportation date
The British government is set to deport Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, founder of SPAC Nation, to Nigeria after he lost an immigration tribunal appeal.
The UK Home Office shut down SPAC Nation after investigations revealed over £1.87 million in unexplained outgoings and alleged financial misconduct.
Former members accused the church of exploitation, claiming it pressured vulnerable individuals to take loans, commit benefit fraud, and sell their blood to make donations.
Adegboyega, who has lived in the UK unlawfully since arriving on a visitor’s visa in 2005, argued that deportation would violate his right to family life under the European Convention on Human Rights.
However, the tribunal ruled that his contributions were overstated and the decision to deport him was lawful and proportionate.
The Home Office has not yet confirmed the deportation date.
