14-year-old girl gang-raped to coma in Delta

  • The 14-year-old victim was reportedly raped on Sunday, December 8, by a clutch of hoodlums led by one Rich Otokwame aka Chinaranbo
  • The incident happened in Oghara Community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of the State.

In Delta State, an unnamed teenage girl has slipped into unconsciousness after she was violently gang-raped.

The 14-year-old victim was reportedly raped on Sunday, December 8, by a clutch of hoodlums led by one Rich Otokwame aka Chinaranbo

The incident happened in Oghara Community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of the oil-rich State.

According to Daily Post, the suspect has since been arrested and is currently in detention at the Oghara Police Division.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

Human right activist, Comrade Israel Joe, who drew the attention of newsmen to the heinous act, urged the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, and the Police authorities to ensure that the suspect and his gang members are duly prosecuted according to extant laws.

Last month, in Bauchi State, a two-year-old girl was violently raped to death.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the incident in a statement.

The baby was said to have sustained severe injuries caused by penetration which ultimately killed her.

According to Wakil, the Ningi Police Divisional Headquarters received a report of a motionless body of a two-year-old baby found beside a mosque on Deneva Street, Ningi Local Government Area, with suspected signs of rape.
