The Lagos police command has announced the arrest of Ifeanyi Okonkwo, accused of theft at an Alausa, Ikeja eatery, caught on CCTV.
On Monday, the command revealed that Okonkwo visited the restaurant on November 7, pretending to buy food, but stole a Samsung A15 phone.
The command stated that Rapid Response Squad (RRS) officers arrested Okonkwo on December 5 during a return visit.
“The suspect stole a phone from another customer, unaware of CCTV capture,” the post reads.
“Unaware of being watched, he returned on Dec. 5, where RRS operatives identified and apprehended him.”
The RRS reported recovery of the stolen phone from the buyer and subsequent court charges.
Recall that on November 15, police arrested three suspects for allegedly stealing from accident victims in Ikeja.
