To improve security, Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has approved the deployment of surveillance cameras across Yenagoa.
The initiative involves installing 200 new closed-circuit cameras and upgrading 50 existing ones in the administration’s Safe City Programme.
This development was announced by the governor’s spokesman, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, in a statement on Friday. According to Alabrah, Governor Diri shared the news during a three-day Security Watch Africa Initiatives conference held in Doha, Qatar.
The project underscores the state government’s commitment to enhancing safety and ensuring better surveillance in the capital city.
