The Young Parliamentarians Forum has received a significant boost following the donation of an e-library and co-working space by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
This initiative, led by Hon. Lamiju Akala, head of the Forum recognized by the United Nations, aims to empower young lawmakers under 40. The platform allows these legislators to develop ideas and engage with youth interested in National Assembly activities.
The state-of-the-art facility on Mississippi Street, Abuja, was officially commissioned by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.
Named The Congrès, the building features an e-library, a physical library, and co-working spaces designed to foster collaboration and youth-focused legislative initiatives.
Abbas described the facility at the event as an innovative space where young legislators can strategize and contribute to the nation’s progress. He commended Seyi Tinubu for fulfilling his promise to support the Forum’s aspirations.
Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, also praised the project. “This initiative will positively impact youth engagement and representation in Nigeria’s parliament,” he noted. Gbajabiamila added, “I commend Seyi Tinubu for creating such an environment for young legislators to deliberate on nation-building issues.”
