Nigeria’s Super Falcons have won the National Team of the Year at 2024 CAF Awards.
The nine-time African champions beat the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco and Banyana Banyana of South Africa to the award.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, picked up the award on behalf of the team.
The Super Falcons are currently the highest ranked team on the continent.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was crowned the 2024 Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, winning the award for the second consecutive year.
The 24-year-old edged out Andile Dlamini, Khadija Er-rmichi, Habiba Sabry, and Fideline Ngoy to the crown.
