The Lagos State government has sealed several establishments, including churches, hotels, and restaurants, due to noise pollution issues.
The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) intensified its enforcement operations across the state to address the harmful impact of persistent noise pollution.
Affected areas include Shomolu, Oniru Victoria Island, and Lekki-Epe Expressway, among others. Establishments sealed by LASEPA include The Lord’s Chosen Church, Celestial Church, and several hotels and restaurants.
Dr. Tunde Ajayi, General Manager of LASEPA, stated that the agency is committed to maintaining a healthy environment for all residents of Lagos State.
He urged all establishments to comply with environmental regulations to avoid sanctions.
