The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to fully enforce the ban on hawking near office premises starting January next year.

Sunday Olubiyi, Head of Internal Security for the Department of Security Services, shared this update during a press briefing in Abuja.

He explained that the administration is enhancing security around office areas to prevent theft and other criminal activities.

According to Olubiyi, enforcing this policy is part of broader efforts to ensure a secure environment for office workers.

Adamu Gwary, Director of the Department of Security Services, added that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has strongly supported security measures.

He recently distributed 50 operational vehicles to various security agencies as part of his commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Abuja.
