- 9mobile confirmed that services have been restored in the North and South-South regions, with efforts ongoing in other areas
Telecommunications company 9mobile has apologised to customers for recent service disruptions affecting voice, data, and internet connectivity.
In a statement, the company attributed the outages to a fire at its Main Data Centre in Lagos and multiple fibre cuts.
“The fire incident, which occurred last night, severely impacted services, particularly in Lagos and the South-West. We are thankful for the swift response of the Lagos State Fire Service, which contained the situation,” the statement said.
Additionally, a major fibre cut in Lagos caused a nationwide data outage, compounded by vandalism incidents in Lagos and Abuja, leading to total service outages in the South-West and data disruptions in the North.
9mobile confirmed that services have been restored in the North and South-South regions, with efforts ongoing in other areas. Customers experiencing issues are encouraged to contact customer support via social media or visit 9mobile experience centres.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the disruptions promptly and thanked customers for their patience and support.
