JUST-IN: Ex-Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello, granted N500m bail in alleged N110bn fraud case

Bello was granted N500m bail in N80b money laundering case, just a week prior.

A federal capital territory high court has granted Yahaya Bello, former Kogi governor, N500 million bail.

Bello faces charges for alleged criminal breach of trust, totaling N110 billion, contrary to the Penal Code Law.

The trial judge, Maryann Anenih, ruled that Bello must provide three sureties, each responsible for N500 million.

These sureties must own properties in designated FCT areas and submit passport photos and identification.

Bello was granted bail a week prior in a separate case involving alleged N80 billion money laundering.

This is a developing story…
