The Bauchi police command has arrested three suspects for allegedly stealing a boxer-model motorcycle from Tenti-Babba, a community in Bokkos LGA of Plateau state.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday by Ahmed Wakil, police spokesperson in the state.
Wakil said that the suspects were arrested after Haruna Maguwa, the owner of the stolen motorcycle, reported the incident to the command.
The police spokesperson identified the suspects as Yakubu Aminu, Abdul Lawal, and Buhari Abdullahi, noting that all three are residents of Magama Gumau town in Toro LGA of Bauchi state.
Wakil added that the command initiated an investigation into the reported theft, which implicated the suspects in criminal conspiracy, theft, and receiving stolen property.
“Investigation led to the identification of the three suspects. On December 18, 2024, at about 0700 hours, the Police Command executed a successful operation resulting in the arrest of the three individuals,” he said.
“The stolen motorcycle was recovered from the suspects, who had intended to sell it to an unsuspecting buyer.”
The command spokesperson added the suspects would be charged in court after the completion of police investigation.
