The Minister of State for Finance, Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite, has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu remains committed to returning the country to the path of prosperity, despite talks of the upcoming 2027 election.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation from the South East Stakeholders Consultative Forum in Abuja, Uzoka-Anite praised President Tinubu’s courageous leadership, saying he is “the boldest and most courageous leader we have ever seen in a while.”

The minister’s assurance comes on the heels of President Tinubu’s presentation of his Budget of Restoration to the National Assembly. According to Uzoka-Anite, the president’s primary focus is on ensuring Nigeria reclaims its lost glory, and he is not distracted by election talks.

Uzoka-Anite highlighted President Tinubu’s bold reforms, including tax reform, which she believes is pivotal for Nigeria’s development and growth. She noted that the president is aware that these reforms may lead to short-term socio-economic crises, but is committed to setting the country on the path of fiscal responsibility and transparency.
