Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has introduced two new ministries to enhance state development efforts.
The announcement came on Wednesday, a day after the swearing-in of seven commissioners, nine permanent secretaries, and nine special advisers.
The newly established ministries are the Ministry of Transportation and Skills and Entrepreneur Development.
During the first extended State Executive Council meeting, Governor Aliyu shared the motivation behind the move. He emphasized that these ministries aim to strengthen his administration’s impact and support Sokoto State’s progress.
The governor also revealed significant budget allocations for these ministries in the 2025 financial plan. He expressed confidence that the initiatives would generate employment opportunities, particularly for the state’s unemployed youth.
“We have made great strides that positively affect our communities and lay a solid foundation for future growth,” Governor Aliyu stated.
These ministries are expected to drive innovation and provide valuable services to the residents of Sokoto State.
