Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has extended warm Christmas wishes to the Christian faithful, encouraging them to embrace the spirit of being their brothers’ keepers during the festive season.
In his Christmas message, Governor Buni expressed gratitude to God for the improved peace and security in Yobe State. He noted that residents can now freely engage in daily activities without fear.
The governor called on the Christian community to use the season to pray for continued peace, security, and prosperity for both the state and the country.
“We should focus on building and promoting peace and peaceful coexistence for our state’s progress,” Buni said.
During his reception of the Yobe State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Governor Buni urged religious leaders to preach messages centred on peace, love, and justice.
“Let us spread the message of love because we are all created and cherished by God,” he stated. “All scriptures emphasize peace; therefore, we must be our brothers’ keepers.”
Governor Buni’s message resonated as a reminder of the importance of unity and collective efforts in fostering harmony and development in the state and beyond.
