The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, has signed the state’s N1.054 trillion budget into law on Monday at the government house in Abeokuta.

The governor had presented the 2025 appropriation bill, tagged “budget of hope and prosperity,” to the state house of assembly on December 4.

Following the signing, Abiodun revealed plans to finalize a partnership deal next month for the Olokola Sea Port development.

“It is my pleasure to announce to you that in the coming month, we will be signing the partnership agreement with potential partners in our port development. The Olokola Port is back on track,” he said.

“We will continue to provide the right infrastructure to ensure students learn in a conducive environment.

“We will pursue our healthcare program, focusing on primary, secondary, and tertiary care, and our ‘grow what you eat’ policy,” Abiodun added.

The governor commended the assembly’s swift passage of the bill, acknowledging its significant impact on the state’s growth.

Oludaisi Elemide, speaker of the house, praised the governor’s renovation of the assembly complex.

The speaker assured that the legislative arm would continue collaborating with the executive to deliver democratic benefits.
