Justice Ministry

The Federal Ministry of Justice plans to spend N2 billion on vehicles and travel in the 2025 fiscal year.

According to the 2025 Appropriation Bill presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on December 18, the ministry’s headquarters will allocate N460 million for utility vehicles, fueling, and maintenance. Specifically, N350 million is set for vehicle purchases, N110 million for fueling, and N45 million for maintenance.

Additionally, N1.5 billion has been earmarked for both local and international travel. N700 million will cover local trips, primarily for training and other activities, while N800 million will cover international travel expenses.

It is important to note that these allocations are limited to the ministry’s headquarters. They exclude separate budgets proposed by six affiliated agencies.

These include the Nigerian Law Reform Commission, Legal Aid Council, Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, National Human Rights Commission, Regional Centre for International Arbitration, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and Nigerian Copyright Commission.
