The abducted retired Archbishop of the Niger Province and Bishop of Nnewi (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Godwin Okpala has regained his freedom.
Okpala, a professor, went missing on December 6 after embarking on a journey to Umuchu, Aguata local government area of Anambra State alongside his driver.
Okpala confirmed his release on social media on Thursday morning.
“Praise the Lord!” the cleric wrote, drawing hundreds of jubilant comments from well-wishers.
Details of the 75-year-old cleric’s release remain sketchy as at the time of filing report.
