NAHCON remains neutral in discharging its obligations – Chairman

NAHCON Invites Complaints and Assures Impartiality in 2025 Hajj Tour Operator Selections

National Hajj Commission of Nigeria

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has assured stakeholders its impartiality in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Prof. Saleh Usman, the Executive Chairman of NAHCON, provided this assurance in a statement on Wednesday through the commission’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Mrs. Fatima Usara.

Addressing recent concerns following the announcement of 10 lead Private Tour Operators certified for the 2025 Hajj operations, Prof. Usman clarified the commission’s readiness to address grievances.

“The commission is open to receiving formal complaints against any of the certified lead companies,” he stated. “This aligns with our commitment to addressing allegations in a fair and unbiased manner.”

Usman encouraged groups with valid evidence against any selected operators to submit their claims by Friday, January 3.

He explained that such evidence would prompt a review of the selection process and a thorough re-investigation, ensuring appropriate actions are taken if necessary.

“All submissions will be treated with confidentiality,” he assured. “Investigations will be conducted strictly to the principles of fairness and transparency.”

Prof. Usman also appealed for the cooperation and understanding of stakeholders and the public, emphasizing that their support is crucial to achieving the commission’s goals.
