Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed deep condolences to his Ondo State counterpart, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, over the death of the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Makinde described Oluwatuyi’s passing as a “painful and shocking loss.”
“I commiserate with Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the unfortunate death of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi. I equally express my condolences to the state government, the family of the deceased, and the people of Ondo State,” Makinde said.
He praised the late Oluwatuyi’s dedication and service to Ondo State, highlighting his roles as Chairman of Akure South Local Government Area and as SSG under the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

“The late Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi was a patriot who gave his all to the service of Ondo State and its people. His contributions to the development of the state will not be forgotten,” Sanwo-Olu said.
Both governors offered prayers for the repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and strength for his family, the Ondo State Government, and the people of the state to navigate this challenging time.
