President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will visit Enugu State on Saturday, January 4, 2025, to commission several projects completed by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, announced this in a statement issued on Friday in Enugu.
“The Enugu State Government is pleased to welcome the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his first official state visit to Enugu.
During this visit, the president will inaugurate a range of transformative projects executed by our administration,” Onyia said.
Among the highlighted projects to be inaugurated are:
- 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of a broader plan to construct 260 such schools statewide.
- 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, out of the 260 built across the state’s wards.
- The Enugu International Conference Centre, a state-of-the-art multi-auditorium facility.
- 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City.
- A modern Command and Control Centre and 150 AI-equipped patrol vehicles to bolster security efforts.
In addition, the president will commission several completed rural roads during his one-day visit.
The state government emphasized its commitment to delivering impactful projects to improve infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security across Enugu. This visit underscores the federal government’s recognition of these efforts.
