Hon. Kareem Khadijah Omotayo, Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, has inaugurated her constituency office in Surulere, Lagos State.
The initiative aims to strengthen citizen-government relations and rally support for the president’s administration.
During the event, Omotayo distributed food packs and cash to 1,400 individuals. Additionally, she provided N200,000 each to several constituency members for empowerment.
She said at the unveiling, “I am committed to bridging the gap between communities and the federal government. I will ensure our people’s voices are heard at the highest level of government.”
Omotayo emphasized her dedication to attracting investments, creating jobs, and supporting local businesses. She also urged Nigerians to back President Tinubu’s reforms, describing them as crucial for the nation’s progress.
“My office will serve as a platform for sharing concerns, ideas, and feedback to ensure community voices are represented at the highest levels. Let’s work together to shape a brighter future for our constituency and generations to come,” she said.
To uplift Surulere Local Government, Omotayo initiated several educational programs, including tuition scholarships, provision of JAMB forms, and sponsorship of debate competitions in secondary schools.
She also assisted small-scale traders, paid medical bills, and executed other impactful projects.
Rt. Hon. Fuad Laguda, representing Surulere Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, praised her efforts at the event.
He highlighted the positive impact of her interventions and encouraged other public officeholders to follow her example.
“Human needs are endless, and these efforts must continue. I urge her and others in public service to sustain and replicate such initiatives,” Laguda said.
