Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Daniel Amah, renowned for his integrity, has embraced Islam. Now bearing the name Muhammad, he recently received blessings from Emir Muhammad Sanusi during a visit to the Emir’s palace.
ACP Muhammad gained nationwide recognition for rejecting a $200,000 bribe in a high-profile case. The bribe was offered by an armed robbery suspect connected to the theft of over ₦300 million from a Bureau De Change operator.
His unwavering stance against corruption earned him widespread praise.
During the palace visit, the Emir advised ACP Muhammad to deepen his understanding of Islam. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the faith’s core practices, including daily prayers, fasting during Ramadan, performing the pilgrimage to Makkah, and giving Zakat.
The Emir also urged him to uphold his integrity, maintain exemplary character, and honour his parents and relatives.
ACP Muhammad had previously made headlines as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Bompai Police Station, where he built a mosque before converting to Islam. Known as an incorruptible officer, he has consistently refused bribes.
In recognition of his integrity, ACP Muhammad was promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
He also received the prestigious Public Service Integrity Award from former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2022.
Currently, ACP Muhammad is the Officer in Charge of a Mobile Police Squadron in Lagos State. His conversion and exemplary conduct continue to inspire many across the country.
