  • The party said it will assume control of the State in 2027, with a view to bringing good governance and dividends of democracy to the people.

The All Progressive Congress, APC, has vowed to dislodge Alex Otti as the governor of Abia State in 2027.

The party said it will assume control of the State in 2027, with a view to bringing good governance and dividends of democracy to the people.

The Chairman of APC in Abia, Kingsley Ononogbu stated this at Abiriba Stadium in Abiriba, Ohafia LGA of Abia State on Friday while receiving a former prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kelvin Jombo Onumah who defected to the APC his supporters.

The Abia State APC Chairman said that his party will leverage the achievements recorded by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in the Senate, Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu in the House of Representatives and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha to win available seats in the State, in 2027 elections.

He noted that his party has addressed the issues and mistakes that prevented it from winning the State during the 2023 polls, and it is now united and prepared to rule the State in 2027.

“We expect that if we take over Abia State in 2027, you will see more actions, verifiable actions,” he said.

Ononogbu who presented the APC flag to Kelvin Jombo, said that the former PDP member made the right choice by joining the APC
