Ideye Open to Super Eagles Return

Brown Ideye Open to Super Eagles Return After Strong Start with Enyimba

Enyimba striker Brown Ideye has expressed his willingness to return to the Super Eagles following his strong start with the Nigeria Premier Football League champions.

Ideye, who has scored twice in Enyimba’s last three matches, was a key part of the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations under the late Coach Stephen Keshi.

Despite subsequent intermittent appearances due to injuries and limited playing time, he remains hopeful for a national team recall.

Speaking during an interview with Channels TV, the former West Bromwich Albion forward said:

“For sure, I will jump on it because I’m not retired from international football yet, so why not? If I get called up to represent my country, I’m going to honour the invite, for sure.”

The 34-year-old striker’s recent performances have reignited discussions about his potential return to bolster Nigeria’s attacking options.
