“Dr. Anas Chika was a member of our Gynaecology Department, while Dr. Abubakar Liman Shehu was attached to our General Out-patient Department,” Dr. Isa said.

“This is a devastating loss to the medical community and the families of the victims. Our hearts are with them during this difficult time.”

Colleagues of the deceased doctors described them as tireless professionals who were deeply committed to their work.

Dr. Tijjani Farouk, a colleague, recalled spending time with the late doctors shortly before their passing.

“They were hardworking and deeply religious,” he said.

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Sokoto State also confirmed the deaths and described the two doctors as young and dedicated professionals.

“Their loss is a great blow to the medical community and the state,” said Dr. Farouk Kabiru, chairman of the NMA in Sokoto State.

“Their contributions to the health sector and humanity will be greatly missed.”
