Chinese expatriate stabbed to death in Ogun


One Chen Wang, a Chinese national, has been reportedly killed by two assailants who attacked him in his office in Ogun State.

He was stabbed to death in his office at Fujiada Electronics Technology Company Ltd, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to the police, Wang, an expatriate and manager of the company, was allegedly killed around noon on Sunday.

The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Wednesday.

He disclosed that the incident was reported to the Ogere police division by one Akosile Akinsanmi, a manager at the company.

Odutola stated one Jonah and his unidentified girlfriend have been fingered in the killing of the deceased and a manhunt has been launched for their arrest.

She revealed that Jonah and his girlfriend invaded Wang’s office, stabbed him, and then fled when the employees of the company were taking their regular break.

Odutola said, “The company’s manager stated that around noon on January 12, during the workers’ break, a man named Jonah, whose last name is unknown, along with his unidentified girlfriend, both of whom are still at large, entered the office of Chen Wang, a 33-year-old Chinese national, and fatally stabbed him.”

Following the report, Odutola noted that detectives from the Ogere Police Division conducted a scene investigation, during which photographs of the deceased were taken.

She added that the corpse has been deposited at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital for a postmortem examination.
