The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revoked lands allocated to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, and House Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, among others, due to unpaid charges.
According to a statement by Lere Olayinka, the minister’s aide, the revocation followed the expiration of a grace period for 568 defaulters out of 3,273 allottees initially given notice in October 2024 to clear their Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) bills.
Other affected individuals include former Cross River Governor Ben Ayade, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and NIDCOM Chairperson Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
This latest action comes three weeks after 762 plots were similarly revoked.
