A young woman, yet to be identified, was found dead in Ombi 1, a community near Mustapha Agwei II State Polytechnic in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The grim discovery comes just a week after a gospel singer in the state allegedly killed and dismembered his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, sparking widespread outrage.

Eyewitnesses reported that the victim was brutally murdered and her body dragged from a junction before being dumped behind a compound late Saturday night. The body was discovered by residents on Sunday morning.
The Nasarawa State Police Command has launched an investigation and urged members of the public to assist in identifying the deceased.
“The police appeal to anyone with information about the incident to come forward or contact the Investigating Police Officer on 08078434101,” a police statement read.
Despite security patrols in the area, residents say criminal activities persist, leading to repeated tragedies and raising concerns about the safety of the community.
