The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the official fare for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

In a statement on Monday, January 20, 2025, NAHCON’s Executive Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman, disclosed that pilgrims from the Southern States will pay ₦8,784,085.59, while those from the Northern Zone will pay ₦8,457,685.59. Pilgrims from Borno and Adamawa will pay the least, at ₦8,327,125.59.

Prof. Usman attributed the fare stability to consultations with stakeholders and support from the Vice President’s Office. “This modest effort on the fare was reached after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in this important decision-making process,” he said.

He urged intending pilgrims to make early payments and adhere to Saudi guidelines to avoid last-minute challenges.

Meanwhile, the Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR) has commended NAHCON’s selection of Mashariq Al Dhahabia, a Saudi-based service provider, for the 2025 Hajj. The firm, which served over 249,000 pilgrims in 2023, is recognized among the top five Hajj service providers by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

IHR National Coordinator Ibrahim Mohammed praised the decision, stating it would foster competition and improve service delivery for Nigerian pilgrims.
