A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, has remanded 27-year-old Adebayo Omisakin Sunday, one of the newly pardoned inmates, in Ilesa correctional centre.

The defendant, who was number 8 on the pardon list of Governor Ademola Adeleke on December 26, 2024, was alleged to have committed another crime on January 3rd after his release.

The police prosecutor told the court that the defendant broke into the house of one Shittu Damilare and stole a plasma TV valued at N600,000.

The charge against the defendant reads: “That you, Adebayo Omisakin Sunday ‘m’, on the 3rd day of January 2025 at about 12:00 pm at Al-Medinat Area, Iludun, Osogbo, in the Osogbo Magisterial District, did break and enter the house of one Shittu Damilare ‘m’ and steal one plasma TV valued at the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Naira (N600,000:00k) only, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 (1) (2) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
