The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has rescued Folashade Odumosu, wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
Folashade regained her freedom on Wednesday, following a rescue operation led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo.
Force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed Folashade’s rescue to Channels Television on Thursday.
The kidnappers were neutralized during the operation, and the ransom payment was recovered, according to Adejobi.
However, Adejobi declined to disclose the ransom amount or the exact location of the rescue.
Adejobi stated that Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the CP and police operatives for their rescue efforts.
The NPF reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Nigerians and the nation.
Folashade Odumosu, wife of the retired AIG, was abducted last Thursday at her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The kidnappers dragged her out of her Lexus SUV and took her through a swampy area to an unknown destination.
