- Bozduman claims Osimhen offered money to delete footage and threatened him after he refused, escalating the situation to physical violence
Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is facing allegations of assaulting a journalist in Istanbul, Turkey.
Turkish media outlet Posta reported that the incident happened as Osimhen, currently on loan from Napoli, left a nightclub with friends.
Journalist Tolga Bozduman, one of those involved, claimed the footballer reacted angrily to being photographed.
“We filmed Osimhen at the exit, and the flashes triggered him. He ran toward me, shouting and tried to grab my camera. When I resisted, he punched me. I still feel the pain,” Bozduman alleged.
He further accused Osimhen of offering money to delete the footage, saying, “He swore at me and said, ‘Destroy the footage, I’ll pay you.’ When I refused, he threatened me, saying, ‘I will destroy you.’”
Amid the controversy, Osimhen took to Instagram on Friday with a cryptic post. He shared a viral video of Ghanaian comedian Akrobeto Akwasi Boadi sarcastically laughing, leaving fans guessing about its meaning.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions, but Osimhen has not yet made any official statement addressing the allegations.
