  • He stressed the importance of a collaborative approach

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has called on newly appointed heads of security agencies to intensify efforts in combating banditry and other criminal activities.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the security chiefs to the Government House in Sokoto on Friday, Aliyu acknowledged the state’s progress in addressing insecurity and urged the new officers to build on the successes achieved.

“We are recording tremendous successes in our fight against banditry, and we expect you to give your best in this regard,” Aliyu stated. He stressed the importance of a collaborative approach, urging the new heads to emulate their predecessors’ commitment, hard work, and selflessness.

The governor praised Sokoto’s law-abiding and hospitable residents and encouraged the security chiefs to work closely with local communities to foster trust and cooperation. He also reassured them of his administration’s full support, particularly in providing the resources necessary for effective service delivery.
